Homework for today:
Ch. 8.8 part a: #11-23 odds, 53, 57
part b: #12-22 evens
If you can use fewer steps, it's more elegant. :)
NOTICE: Mr. Schiffman has changed his extra credit policy. Extra credit will be awarded when students take a perfectly good answer and turn it into a bad answer. (By "extra credit," Mr. Schiffman means "negative extra credit.")
Steps:
1. Isolate the radical.
2. "Square" both sides
3. Check your solution
Telling you to finish solving is like telling you to remember to breathe. Hopefully, you will both not need reminding to do either. ;)
